Getting ready to go
July 14th, 2008 Posted in UncategorizedIts finally the day before I leave and, as usual, I have left most things until the last minute .. including checking whether or not I received a plane ticket. So the morning has been spent running around shops buying things like elastoplasts and spending hours on the phone to STA travel, AirFrance, Newcastle Airport etc etc.. (FYI I didn’t receive any ticket, not even an E-ticket, apparently a passport will suffice - I’m yet to be convinced but we’ll see!)
So this time tomorrow I’ll be nearly touching down at Douala Airport, its all very exciting yet slightly daunting. Off to catch up with school friends tonight then to bed for a 4am check in tomorrow!

Hiya! Been hearing the latest from your Grandma & Grandpa, and read your email. Did you ever find any milk? What’s the weather like, and how are you settling in? We’re back in the US and brought Mum with us. Looking forward to reading more of your blog. Love Dianne, Marion, Stuart, and Callum xo

Thank you for the comments, settling in fine. Didn’t find any milk that wasn’t powdered! Hope you had a safe trip back to the US. Weather is unexpectedly wet but sure the locals think we are mad as any break in the rain has us straight outside sunbathing and singing loudly!! Will try to update the blog more frequently now I have the wireless set up! Love to all,
Charlotte
