The day starts here with a staff devotional. I was then given a campus tour. It is amazing to see the multi specialty hospital and outpatient services that are offered.
My first order of business was emergency rounds with the prescriber and then spending my morning with emergency department staff. I saw a variety of patients. I will share more clinically in subsequent posts.
I had the privilege of having coffee after lunch with Mr. Botwe, hospital CEO. This gave me time to learn more about the population and region served and also to ask questions that I had jotted down up to this point. (A little notepad in your scrub pocket will serve you well)!
Patrick gave me a tour of the Wenchi market. Now I will know where to shop so I can cook!
The afternoon was spent in strategic planning with department heads. My ten plus years in administrative roles served me well! This is a passionate group of leaders and I was honored to be there.
I have already been asked to share on different areas of my expertise. I will do this with honor and excellence. I am eager to learn at least as much from these awesome people!
