I’m headed to India!!!!!

I’ve decided to spend my final month of rotations for medical school in India.  I’ll be heading to Christian Medical College of Vellore in the State of Tamil Nadu (Southern India).  I’ve always wanted to visit South Asia and learn more about their health care systems.  Actually, prior to starting medical school I was scheduled to go on a public health internship in Nepal, but plans changed due to medical school starting earlier than my scheduled return.  So…this is my second chance!

The planning process has been a bit difficult due to my traveling month-to-month and not having a home base, but INMED made it simple and was very helpful in preparing for the journey.

In a little over a week I’ll hop on a plane to travel across the world for this unique experience, and I am so excited!  This will be my first international trip by myself but I believe the past year or so has prepared me to take care of myself ;-).  The last minute details are being hammered out, and I’m getting my bags packed.  I’ll try to update as the journey continues!
