Arrived!

We have been in Delhi now for 2 days and things are going fine.  It’s dirty and busy here, but it’s good.  We leave this evening on our 24 hour train trip to Raxaul.  That should be an adventure.  Outside our guesthouse are cows that just walk around the street.  People just walk around them and they don’t seem to bother anyone.  We met with EHA yesterday and everyone was nice.  There is a German internist resident who is going with us for part of the time in Raxaul and he is cool.  There is obviously a large variety of affluence here in Delhi.  From the conversations we’ve had, Raxaul really does seem to be in the poorest part of India and the hospital is ver busy.  We haven’t seen much of historic Delhi.  We’ll probably see more in Delhi when we come back before we leave for the U.S.  We’re excited to get to Raxaul.  We hope to have somewhat regular email access there.  Hope things in Kansas City are going well!
