About Matthew & Maggie
Matthew Loftus is a fourth-year medicine student at the University of Maryland School of Medicine. He hopes to do additional training in family practice and obstetrics following his graduation in May 2011. After his training in medicine is complete, he hopes to do long-term medical missions among unreached peoples in the Middle East or Africa. He likes to read, write, and play music.
Maggie is a nursing student at Harford Community College and will graduate in May 2011 as well. She hopes to continue to her training so that she can be a part of nursing education long-term. She enjoys reading, playing with the neighborhood kids, and urban farming.
The two goofy kids have been married since December 2009 and are involved in ministry at New Song Community Church in the Sandtown-Winchester neighborhood of West Baltimore. They are eager to serve God in Ethiopia doing a medical rotation and missions internship at Soddo Christian Hospital and they’re thankful to INMED for providing them with this spiffy blog and so much help with everything.
