2 years and running…

Yesterday marked the second anniversary of my working at INMED.  Recently, I have realized how blessed I am to have this job and the team that I work with.  The past conference was really fun but really tiring.  It’s still amazing to think about how much work goes into two days, but it’s well worth it…

We are heading towards the end of a busy season at INMED…last weekend was our Exploring Medical Missions Conference and this week is the first week of the International Medicine Intensive Course.  We have 33 students and healthcare professionals enrolled this year.  It’s been fun to get to know the group.  Tonight we are having a barbeque and then some of us are heading over to First Friday’s, which should be pretty fun.

I leave for Kenya in a little over 2 weeks to go to Kijabe Hospital.  I’m really looking forward it…my life has been a whirlwind this past 2 weeks, so it will give me an opportunity to relax a little bit and reflect on my life.  I’m looking forward to finding out what it’s like to be at a mission hospital.  I’m sure I’m in for a lot of surprises, but I’m excited.  My goal is to start updating this monthly….we’ll see how that goes.
