The internet went down in the entire state of Bihar for nearly two weeks.\u00a0 It just came up again now that I\u2019m in Delhi. \u00a0I got to eat McDonald\u2019s today. I took the girl that picked me up at the station for a feast.\u00a0 The girl taking the order was laughing at us because I just kept ordering so much food. I\u2019m so sick of rice. No more for a while.\u00a0 You can only have so much rice and mangos.\u00a0 Seriously.<\/p>\n

Anyway, I\u2019m safe in Delhi, staying at the YMCA again. \u00a0Some guy in the park proposed to me and started singing about how he loves me. Don\u2019t worry Mom!\u00a0 \ud83d\ude42\u00a0 I already miss my new friends from the hospital.\u00a0 They all took off work to see me off and Rimi came with me to the train station. I cried when she left. It\u2019s been so long since I got to write home and so much happens every day that I don\u2019t even know where to start to catch up. There\u2019s one case that\u2019s really been stuck in my head the past week. Pawa Kumar-botulism poisoning. They tried to send him to patna, but on the way, they didn\u2019t use the ambu bag properly and had to turn around because he had a pneumothorax.\u00a0 His eyes are opening now which is a good sign, but he\u2019s still got such a poor prognosis and now a collapsed lung on top of it.\u00a0 The staff is getting frustrated with the father b\/c they keep explaining the poor prognosis to him and he won\u2019t give up and keeps on them. It\u2019s very sad. I finally got to see the father the other day.\u00a0 He\u2019s so sad\u00a0and exhausted.\u00a0 Of course he doesn\u2019t want\/can\u2019t accept what they\u2019re trying to tell him.\u00a0 I\u2019m exhausted from the train ride and the feast and the running away from the crazy man, so I\u2019m going to get off here and go to my room and sleep like rip van winkle for awhile.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
