I hate suffering that medicine won\u2019t fix,\u201d says Rebekah Rose, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.inmed.us\/courses-info\/hybrid-courses\/international-medicine-public-health\/\">INMED International Medicine &amp; Public Health Course Graduate<\/a>. Since completing this learning experience December, Rebekah has been applying it \u201con the field\u201d in Papua New Guinea. See the earlier <a href=\"https:\/\/inmedblogs.us\/nicholascomninellis\/2016\/12\/30\/from-germany-to-inmed-and-papua-new-guinea\/\">INMED blog post about Rebekah from December 30, 2016<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Rebekah continues, \u201cFiguring out patients\u2019 medical problems and treating them is rewarding, but even more precious than all the procedures, prescriptions, and the solved puzzles is to have with patients open their hearts to me and to let me be God\u2018s vessel to comfort them and give them hope\u2026 I am not particularly good with words and I\u2019m not exceptionally holy. And yet people invite me into their pain and fears, make themselves vulnerable to me.
