Helping Babies Breathe (HBB) is an evidence-based program to disseminate\u00a0neonatal resuscitation skill\u00a0in such settings, and INMED is pleased to offer HBB instruction.\u00a0Cindy Obenhaus\u00a0leads this educational offering from her role as a neonatal nurse and INMED Director of Operations.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Jennifer Wilson and Susan Fockler , physician and pharmacist, are exemplary examples of HBB in action. They received their HBB training via INMED and then partnered with\u00a0Ghana Rural Integrated Development Leyaata Project in rural Ghana, West Africa. This project aims to reduce maternal, infant and child mortality in 49 marginalized villages in north Kintampo and south Bole districts of Ghana. In December, 2013, Jennifer and Susan conducted HBB training on location for six HBB facilitators\u00a0and then\u00a0twenty-seven local birth attendants. But that\u2019s not all. Participants in the HBB program were given tracking sheets to monitor the impact of the program, and the Leyaata project staff will visit each site every three months to review the data\u00a0and to evaluate\u00a0the program with birth attendants.\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.inmed.us\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/helping-babies-breathe-training-report-rural-ghana-2013.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">Read more about HBB in rural Ghana.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>INMED continues to offer <a href=\"https:\/\/www.inmed.us\/courses-info\/helping-babies-breathe\/\" target=\"_blank\">HBB facilitator training<\/a> each Spring and Summer.
