Greetings from Chhatarpur Christian Hospital. I have been here a little over 2 weeks, so let me jog my memory and back track a bit.
Time in Delhi
The next morning, I went to EHA headquarters. I walked from the Hotel Conclave Executive. Google Maps helped me find it. I thought I was meeting a person, but we met online. She went over some instructions, and I had to sign two forms. Since I had no one to take me shopping, I was glad my friend had brought me 3 Indian outfits.
We took a cab to the train station Wednesday morning. We hired a man for $1 to carry my heavy suitcase and help us locate the correct track. We arrived about an hour before the train was to leave. Overall, I felt confused and was glad to have someone directing my steps.
Christian Hospital Chhatarpur
After the relaxing 6 hour train ride, we arrived in Chhatarpur. The hospital sent a cab to pick us up. I was greeted and shown to my room, once we arrived. It was a 2 bedroom apartment. I was sharing it with a traveling pediatrician. I had my own bathroom with a toilet. Then we were given lunch, and then my friend went back on the train to Delhi. I went to administration to fill out some paperwork, and then I was introduced to my supervisor, Ankit. He is a very kind man. He gave me a tour of the hospital and introduced me to several people. He said he knew that God had sent me here. He also explained that we were not to witness to patients because of anti-conversion laws. He said I would be able to practice as a nurse practitioner here.
