Planting seeds

Well, I have been at Kafalafuta mission for over a week now!!! I have learned a lot, both at the clinic and with the mission staff (and friends).  It has been quite a journey so far! I have met sooo many people and experienced quite a bit of Zambian culture.  I have enjoyed my time so far at Masaiti Council clinic.  The staff has been great! They just let me jump right in and help them serve this area. I spend my days screening patients, testing them for Malaria, TB, or other diseases.  These diseases are so rampant here it is unbelievable.  I definitely see why the priority should be on prevention because these diseases just take over communities.  It is hard to see how heavily it affects these people, and know that there is not much you can do about it (with the resources provided) besides give them some medication.   Sometimes you have to be content with helping any way you can, even if it is not ideal.  Through working at the clinic and staying at the mission, I think the main thing that I have learned so far is that our job is to plant the seeds, God will provide the results.
