This will be my first blog. I have to not left the USA yet but I will soon and I am approaching my departure with a certain trepidation. I have never done anything like this before. I seldom travel solo for more than a couple of days. Now I am going somewhere where I know no one and am not familiar with the culture. My wife, who is my touchstone and rock, will not be joining me. So I am nervous. Do I have the resiliency to be successful?
On the other hand, I am very excited to see a new place and work along side people who appear to be dedicated, warm, knowledgeable and kind. I feel it is an extraordinary opportunity to give back. I take it very seriously when scripture tells me to whom much is given much is required. So… complicated feelings. Keeping fingers crossed.
