Welcome to the INMED Blogs!

Angola Leprosy CenterHello! My name is Nicholas Comninellis, and I’m President of INMED – the Institute for International Medicine. Our mission is to equip healthcare professionals with the skills necessary to serve the most forgotten of all people. In this photo I’m working at the Kalukembe Hospital leprosy center in Angola, southern Africa, at the height of that nation’s civil war. Like myself, INMED students and faculty today are working diligently to bring care and hope to those on the margins of society. These INMED Blogs are their personal accounts – stories of struggle, of sacrifice, occasionally of death, and often of victories. As you read, be encouraged by the selflessness and courage of these individuals who have not forgotten the plight of the world’s most poor.
